  1. Personal Statement

My research training is on the phytochemical investigation of medicinal plants. I have expertise in Natural Product research and have been able to carry out pharmacological and toxicological evaluation of selected Nigerian medicinal plants. I have worked with various research groups both nationally and internationally. I have also mentored and supervised Postgraduate students. My major goal is the investigation of the traditional Nigerian medicinal plants for their pharmacological activity with a view to providing lead compounds for drug development.
