Personal Statement

“I am a mid-career pharmacist, researcher, and lecturer with over a decade of experience in academia and clinical pharmacy practice. My professional journey has been defined by a deep commitment to improving health outcomes through clinical pharmacy related research, and capacity building. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy respectively and have spent the last several years engaged in teaching, research, and public health service.

My academic role as a lecturer has provided me with the platform to mentor the next generation of pharmacists while contributing to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences through interdisciplinary research. My research interests lie at the intersection of public health, infectious diseases, and the pharmacotherapy of communicable and non-communicable diseases with emphasis on tuberculosis and Diabetes mellitus. In line with this, I have several publications in peer reviewed national and international journals.

Till date, I have mentored and supervised over thirty undergraduate students and five postgraduate students at the Masters’ level. Currently co-supervising two Ph.D. students. A member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Clinical Pharmacists Association of Nigeria (CPAN) and the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).”
