Personal Statement

“I am an academic Pharmacist, a Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lagos, the immediate past Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the same institution. My research interests are Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Analytical Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. Over the past 30 years, I have conducted extensive research in the fields of pharmaceutical quality assurance, analytical chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. I have mentored numerous students, supervised research projects, and guided the academic journeys of 6 Ph.D. students, 48 M.Sc. students, and 100 undergraduates. My scholarly contributions include 62 published articles. I am a member of professional associations such as the Nigeria Association of Pharmacists in Academia (NAPA), Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN), Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), American Chemical Society (ACS) and National Association of Artificial Intelligence Practitioners (NAAIP).”
