Personal Statement

“I am an academic pharmacist with a task in shaping the next generation of pharmacists, advancing pharmaceutical knowledge, and improving healthcare system through my teaching and research. My research work focuses on pharmaceutical analyses of drugs and pharmaceutical products, investigating their qualities with the purpose of ridding our environment of substandard, fake and adulterated pharmaceutical products.  I applied my knowledge of pharmacokinetics to offer services in Bioavailability-Bioequivalence studies on new and existing drugs. I also investigate the potential interactions between conventional and herbal or food medicines thereby creating awareness and advocacy on the clinical implications of such co-administration among the users.  As an expert in drug analysis, I conduct training on the use of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) for drugs, drug products and chemical profiling of herbs.  I am averse to collaborative and interdisciplinary research within and outside the aforementioned arears.”
